Doctrinal Statement

The doctrines and beliefs of Covenant Christian Academy are consistent with those of the Protestant Reformation. These doctrinal statements, in detailed form, maybe found in documents such as the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion, the Canons of Dort, and the Baptist Confession of Faith. We also adhere to the beliefs stated in the creeds of the Church, known as the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed.

Below is a brief statement of faith:

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and the New Testament (II Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25).

We believe in one God revealed in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; John 17).

We believe that Jesus is God in the flesh and that He is both divine and human (Luke 1:26-38; John14:1-3; Acts 2:36; Phil 5-12).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity eternally proceeding from the Father and the Son (John 15:26); that He regenerates man (Titus 3:5), convicts man of sin (John 16:18), guides the church into all truth (John 16:13), indwells the believer (Romans 8:9), gives gifts to believers according to His will (I Cor.12:4ff); and is evidenced by fruit (Gal. 5:22-23), gifts (Rom. 12:4ff), and power to be witnesses (Acts 1:8).

We believe that man is saved by faith in Jesus Christ alone. This salvation is entirely by the grace of God and not by any work of man (acts 3:19-20; Rom. 4:1-5; 5:1; 10:9-10; Eph. 2:8-10).

We believe in the death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and the pending return of Jesus Christ (Like 24:39-43; John 5, 6; Eph. 2:8-10; I Thess. 4:13-18).
